Hello everyone and welcome or welcome back to my blog! Today's post is all about why I love and recommend journaling and writing. I hope you enjoy!
Growing up, I had many diaries. At some point, I'd always destroy them as I was afraid that someone would read them and know all of my thoughts and feelings.
I still journal today, but it's different than when I was younger. I have a more "diary" style journal where I let thoughts and feelings flow, but I don't write in it daily--I right in it when it feels right to and when I feel like I need to get my thoughts or excitement out.
I also like to right things and experiences I want to look back on in the future and remember.
I have a journal where I list my to-do's for work and things I need to remember and get done, and I also have a journal for blog ideas, wishlists, etc.. I have another random journal as well and a daily planner too.
I love to jot down ideas for blog posts so that I know what kind of content I want to write and share, and it also helps me break down and analyze my thoughts and opinions on things which is cool as I get to know myself better.
I like to write down things I want to buy so that I can have an idea of what I need to save or plan for. I like to think of and write gift ideas and guides for others, but I like to write gift guides and ideas for things I want to get myself too.
Writing also helps me feel present. Sometimes I feel all over the place and like everything's out of my reach. Writing helps me forget everything else I'm worrying or thinking about and helps me focus on the task at hand.
It’s great for setting and keeping track of goals too! Tracking my progress and setting steps for the future helps me to stay motivated, and I love seeing my progress as the months progress.
It's fun, relaxing, and therapeutic to me, and I get some of my great ideas this way.
Do you make time to write or journal?
