Hello everyone--I hope you're having a fabulous day. I know a lot of us are at home right now, and a lot of you may have to go places where you need to wear a mask. Today, I want to help you with styling your quarantine look.
Just because you're wearing a mask doesn't mean you can't look cute while doing it. Just because you're wearing a mask doesn't mean it has to be an ugly one. This post is a fun little guide on how to look stylish wearing a mask during quarantine.
First, you need a cute mask. There are a lot of no sew tutorials on the internet, however you can sew one as well if that's your thing. If you'd like to see a tutorial or need tips on making your mask, let me know.
I sewed a mask for my boyfriend, but for me, I found an old headband in my closet that I've only worn once that's large enough to cover my face and neck (featured in these photos). It's stretchy, so I don't have to tie it on or anything. I literally just pull it over my face.
My second tip would be to not overdress. You want to look nice, but you don't want to look overdone especially if you don't have anywhere to really go. Save your laundry and wear some normal clothing, but spice it up with a little statement.
My hair is also done simply with some bantu knots. Nothing fancy. Just a protective style that's neat enough to go out in.
In this look, I'm wearing a fitted black top with blue skinny jeans and knee high leather boots for a little bit of flare.
If you wear glasses, be sure to wear them when you go out as they'll offer you eye protection. If you only wear contacts or don't wear either, put on a pair of sunglasses; they'll help tie together your look as well.
I'm wearing my everyday glasses from Tory Burch in this look. I wear contacts as well, but I haven't been wearing them during quarantine.
Simple accessories are also the way to go.
In this look I'm wearing a delicate ring and my Apple Watch.
Exceptions to this look include fitness and more formal occasions. If you're going for a walk in the park, swap the jeans and boots for leggings and sneakers. If you've got a Zoom interview, throw on a blazer or classic cardigan and do your favorite hairstyle and simple makeup if you wear makeup.
