Hello lovelies and welcome or welcome back to my blog! In today's post, I want to share my tips on how to feel confident in crop tops.
Crop tops are a bit controversial in various ways. Some people think they're cute while others think they're immodest.
Some want to wear them but are excluded due to brand sizing or social pressures.
Some even think they're too old to wear them.
I'm letting you know right now that you can wear crop tops at any size or shape and look amazing.
Even if you're 40 plus, you're not too old for them, and no matter what size you are, I hope these tips help you feel more confident in crop tops!
My first tip for feeling confident in crop tops is to wear high waisted jeans. There are different jean recommendations for different body types, but I feel like you can't go wrong with a pair of high waisted jeans. They're the most flattering in my opinion.
The great thing about high waisted jeans is that they accentuate your natural shape while giving you coverage.
If you're like me and have a curvier body type or you just like your stomach concealed whether it's for modesty or you want your stomach to look slimmer, high waisted jeans are the way to go.
It may sound crazy, but high waisted jeans really hold and cinch everything in while still being comfortable. Finish them off with a cute belt. This style jean is one of the biggest factors in me feeling comfortable and confident in crop tops.
My second tip is to wear crop tops that highlight your favorite parts of your body or conceal what you may not be comfortable showing.
As I've gotten older, I don't really like showing my arms as much, so I tend to choose crop tops with sleeves. Even if they're sheer, that's fine, as long as my arms have some coverage.
Sometimes I want to show my shape more and opt for fitted crop tops, but sometimes I want to be more concealed and will wear an oversized crop top. Both are flattering to me and enhance my looks.
Oversized crop tops are also great for adding a little more stomach coverage if that's your preference.
With fitted crop tops, I tend to like them to be supportive so I can choose to wear a bra or not. Sometimes it's better to go braless especially if the top has cutouts or sheer elements, and a supportive top helps make that possible.
My third tip would be to find styles you like! Maybe you only like fitted tops...maybe you like them looser. Choose what you feel comfortable in.
You can also find tops with organza sleeves, mesh, or other feminine details for a more dressed up look or wear an oversized crop sweater or hoodie for a more relaxed and casual feel.
With crop tops, there's so much versatility and so many options that it's very possible to find something that you feel comfortable and confident in.
