Like mostly everyone else, I'm staying inside due to what most of us are staying inside for. It can be hard staying inside everyday especially when you're someone like me who loves going places. I also deal with anxiety which doesn't help.
Today I want to share a few things that I'm missing during quarantine to deal with not having them, and then I want to share a few things that are helping me through this tough time.
The first thing I'm missing is being with family. Me and my boyfriend spend a lot of time with family, and it's strange not being able to just go see them. I miss being around them and spending time with them.
The second thing that I'm missing during quarantine are Auntie Anne's Pretzels. I want Pretzel Nuggets so bad right now, and I look forward to the day when I can eat them again. Fortunately I have other foods I like to help me compensate, but I still do miss those yummy buttery pretzels.
The third thing I miss is going to The Cheesecake Factory. I didn't go all the time, but it's my favorite restaurant, and not being able to go and dine in is upsetting.
The fourth thing I miss is the beach. I don't live near the beach, but I grew up by the beach, and I'd just love to walk along the sand right now.
The fifth thing I miss is going to the movies. Me and my boyfriend love going to the movies, and I look forward to going to the cinema again.
Now, for something a little more fun; things that are helping me through quarantine:
One of my favorite things lately has been Postmates. It allows me to get my favorite foods delivered and dropped off at my door while supporting local businesses and people who are working during this tough time.
Renting movies has also been fun along with watching Netflix. We watched Tiger King and were obsessed, so if you're watching it too, I'd love to know your thoughts!
Fitness has played a part in lifting my mood as well. I like to do workouts on YouTube or create my own fitness routines which help me get moving and distract me from the madness.
I'm fortunate enough to get to work from home through this time which is a blessing in many ways and helps me keep a routine as well.
Don't be hard on yourself if you've got a lot of free time; doing nothing is nice too. Sometimes it's nice to just curl up on the couch or in bed on the weekend and just do nothing and refresh.
